Compostable Pouch

We have a variety of options available depending on your product requirements, but you can rest assured that all our solutions are made from certified compostable materials, 100% biobased, 100% plastic-free and/or made from recycled materials.  For food-grade pouches, we recommend our  PLA and Recycled Kraft Paper combo, a solution we developed in-house. 

All our pouches are made from certified compostable materials. We also offer 100% paper pouches that are 100% curbside recyclable. We do not offer conventional plastic pouches. Compostable materials are materials that have been certified to break down in relevant conditions and are made from 100% non-toxic components (water, carbon dioxide, and biomass) that will not harm the environment. Most of our pouches are certified commercially compostable and must be composted in a dedicated facility.

Yes, all our pouches can be customized to your needs. Dimensions, shape, closure system and design can all be made to order for your brand. You can use your existing die-lines that we will adapt to your new pouch design or we can create new die-lines based on your visuals. On the design front, the possibilities are unlimited.

Printing technology and inks will depend on the material and design you choose but we can promise that all our inks are certified compostable, mineral oil-free, solvent-free, and the most environment-friendly option on the market.

All the materials used are certified compostable and we offer the most renowned standards depending on your requirements and your geography including BPI, TUV OK COmpost, Din Certco Seedling, and ABA. We also offer FSC-certified papers and all our food contact pouches are FDA Certified.

Production time varies based on the quantity of the order placed- normally, it will take around 10-20 days after invoice confirmation. From design to delivery, you can expect it will take at least 30 days and more depending on the shipping destination and shipping method (air or boat).

Our pouches have a shelf life of 12 months, after which they may start to lose some of their properties. As a plastic-free company, we choose to use compostable materials that are fossil-fuel-free. This means our pouches will biodegrade far more quickly than conventional plastic pouches made from petroleum-derived polymers. We recommend storing the pouches in a dry environment and avoiding direct exposure to sunlight. Disclaimer: Shelf life also depends on the products inside the packaging and should be tested for the best results.

All our pouches are compatible with food-grade products and FDA FCM (food contact material)-certified. They are made with 100% biobased materials, are always plastic-free and do not include anyadditives such as plasticizers, phthalates, bisphenols or PFAS so they don’t release toxins or microplastics and are ta much safer option for your products and your consumers. Since they are made from certified compostable materials, our pouches are a great fit for food-grade products and ingredients as they can be collected together with food waste and be upcycled to become natural fertilizer.
